The NW-127 SawJET™ is a patent-pending all-in-one abrasive waterjet and 360-degree programmable saw designed specifically to meet the needs of the stone countertop industry. This technological breakthrough in the world of abrasive waterjet machines provides fabricators with a faster, more cost-effective solution for processing slab materials. The SawJET™ product line is part of a vertically integrated solution that takes advantage of the technologies created for Northwood’s CNC stone machining centers and their industry-leading StoneVision®, StoneLaser™, and StoneScan™ software packages.

The way the SawJET™ operates is revolutionary. Most stone countertops are shaped in such a way that they have many straight lines. The saw head on the SawJET™ rotates 360 degrees and is fully programmable, which enables the saw to make straight cuts in any direction on the slab. Straight edges can be cut five to six times faster with a saw blade than with a traditional abrasive waterjet and without the high operation cost of conventional machines. The SawJET™ also enables the fabricator to machine small granite or quartz parts without the use of backer boards or plastic or rubber bumpers, which can compress and cause stone to crack.

The NW-127 features a single table configuration and a 50 Hp abrasive waterjet with a standard 10 HP saw (a 15 HP saw unit is a standard option). The saw unit is capable of running 10” to 14” saw blades. As with all Northwood Machine Manufacturing Company machines, the SawJET™ features the industry-leading GE Fanuc control system, cast-iron drive systems, zero-backlash, ground ballscrews with rotating nut technology, and zero-hassle support.

The NW-257 features a dual table configuration and a 50 Hp abrasive waterjet with a standard 10 HP saw (a 15 HP saw unit is a standard option). The saw unit is capable of running 10” to 14” saw blades.
